dishesonthetoprackScott was...doing something useful at the store today? What? This clearly wasn't right.
Don't be too mistaken, though -- he'd first dropped off a bear claw with Jeff, and he hadn't come in intending to do something useful. But the register, he'd noticed, had a key or two that was misbehaving, and he was almost certain that it had to do with some kind of internal switch.
And while Wanda, he knew, could magic herself up a brand new cash register if she didn't care for how the % stuck on occasion-- well. Scott had been to space two days ago, and was still riding a wave of feeling pretty useful.
So, after a quick run back to his apartment to grab some tools and having made sure to stash any and all cash in a secure spot in the back on his return (if they got robbed while he was attempting to repair something, that would be -- like, less than ideal), Scott posted up at the counter with a soldering kit, a switch adjuster, a degaussing coil just in case he needed it, and of course -- protective (and magnifying!) eyewear.
Possibly a little overkill for just adjusting a pair of switches behind buttons, but it had been awhile since he'd torn into something like this.
